We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team in a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. You’ll be taking ownership of the Revenue Accounting function, supporting both UKG and John Sands, and working closely with teams across the business. The role also incorporates some statutory and compliance work.
Who are we looking for?
You should be a confident, organised self-starter with an eye for detail and a passion for process improvement. You’ll need excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external contractors and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff responsibility for one direct report, an Assistant Financial & Compliance Accountant,
- Responsibility for all Revenue accounting areas in UKG and John Sands, including those aspects handled by the Assistant Financial & Compliance Accountant,
- Responsibility for John Sands statutory and tax compliance work,
- Responsibility for all royalty accounting and reconciliation, including income, expense, third-party, and related-party aspects,
- Responsibility for monthly results submissions and internal reporting to AG,
- Authorisation of bank payments and direct debits within the online banking portals, as part of a weekly rota-based approach with colleagues,
- Preparation/review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations within the role’s area of remit,
- Ad-hoc project work as required.

The role operates on a hybrid working model and requires flexibility, which may involve working on some UK bank holidays to support the month-end close deadline.
