At UK Greetings we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing, creatively charged team! As we expand into exciting new channels and celebrations categories, this is a rare chance to help shape the next chapter of a leading player in the greetings industry.

You’ll lead the way on new revenue opportunities—developing partnerships with top retailers, unlocking the power of our brands through licensing, and helping us grow into new categories like Gift Packaging, Partyware, and beyond.
What you’ll be doing:
Retail Partnerships
• Lead the development of new partnerships across Celebrations categories (Cards, Gift Wrap, Party, etc.)
• Grow and manage existing commercial relationships – such as taking responsibility for our Special Editions division
• Identify market trends and shape our approach to drive revenue
• Own the full onboarding journey—from pitch to contract to launch!
Licensing
• Drive outbound licensing revenue across channels
• Build strong relationships with key UK & international licensees
• Negotiate deals and manage licensing compliance, ensuring alignment with our brand goals
Strategy & Leadership
• Collaborate with senior leaders to set ambitious goals
• Create go-to-market strategies for new business
• Represent UKG at trade events and industry shows
• Set, track, and smash performance targets
Collaboration
• Work hand-in-hand with Creative, Brand, Finance, Legal & Supply Chain
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to budget
What You’ll Bring:
• A strong background in business development and sales leadership
• Experience in licensing and managing commercial contracts
• Ideally, a background in General Merchandise or the Celebrations sector
• Top-tier negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• A strategic mind, entrepreneurial energy, and a drive to succeed
What You’ll Need:
• Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Experience working with high-profile retailers
• Confidence to establish and build long-lasting relationships
• Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, guide and support a small team
Location & Travel:
• Based in Dewsbury, with hybrid working (2+ days in the office, core days being Tuesday & Wednesday)
• Regular UK travel required for partner meetings and industry events
