We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team with a
particular emphasis on revenue accounting, while also providing flexible
support across a broad spectrum of accounting and financial tasks. This role is
ideal for a proactive individual looking to gain hands-on experience in various
aspects of financial management and reporting.

You should be a tenacious, confident self-starter, with an appetite to
learn and strong attention to detail.
You’ll be working with teams across the organisation, so strong
communication and organisational skills are essential, as is having the
confidence to interact with key internal departments within the wider business.
Key attributes should include:
- Good understanding of general accounting principles; working knowledge
of revenue recognition standards is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet
deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting
software (e.g., CODA) is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic finance environment.
- Studying toward a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA,
CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably with
revenue exposure.
Key activities & responsibilities include:
Data, Reporting, and Insight
- Assist in the accurate and timely recognition of
revenue in line with accounting standards.
- Reconcile revenue-related accounts, including discounts and allowances
and accrued income.
- Assist with revenue reporting and analysis, identifying trends and
discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal
postings, reconciliations, and reporting packs.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist in balance
sheet reviews.
- Contribute to the preparation of VAT returns and other
compliance-related submissions.
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies
and accounting standards.
- Provide cover for companies’ daily banking input and cashflow forecast.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring activities when
required.
It is a pre-requisite that the individual will have a basic
understanding of double-entry book-keeping and ideally also VAT. Applicants
should have an interest in pursuing a career in Finance or can demonstrate
experience within the sector. Additionally, there is the opportunity to study
towards a professional Finance qualification.
